Final Termination of the Piek-Keur Certification as of 1 October 2025

In response to the previously information announcing the intended termination, we received several reactions from participants and other stakeholders. The Board has carefully considered this feedback, and we would like to thank everyone for their input. Although we highly appreciate the feedback received — which also demonstrates the value Piek-Keur has provided — it has not led to a change in the proposed decision. The underlying reasons for termination remain unchanged, such as the fact that many vehicles now meet noise standards by default, ongoing technological developments, changes in legislation and regulations, and a declining demand for the certification.
The termination of the Piek-Keur Foundation’s activities means that, as of 1 October 2025:
• The agreement with participants will expire.
• The website www.piekkeur.nl will go offline.
• No further applications for type-approval certificates will be processed.
• Vehicles and bodies can no longer be Piek-certified.
• The site will no longer provide information about certified products or vehicles.
• It will no longer be possible to order stickers.
• Products may no longer bear a Piek-Keur sticker.
• Use of the Piek logo will no longer be permitted, in order to protect the trademark.
If you, as a participant, still have original, uniquely numbered Piek-Keur stickers (component, bodywork, or QuietTruck), you may return them no later than 30 September 2025 by sending them to the address below. Upon receipt, a credit note will be issued.
We sincerely thank you for your many years of commitment and involvement with the Piek-Keur certification. Together, we have contributed to quieter distribution and greater social awareness within the logistics chain.
